Terms of use

A plain-English outline of the agreement between you, the businesses you book and BissCAT.

Who does what

BissCAT is a marketplace. The business you book provides the food and service and is responsible for it, including food safety and licences. BissCAT runs the platform, checks businesses’ documents, holds payments and helps resolve problems.

Prices and fees

  • Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
  • Customers pay a service fee, shown as its own line before you pay.
  • Businesses pay a commission only on completed bookings; joining, listing and quoting are free.

Bookings, changes and cancellations

Each business chooses a moderate or strict cancellation policy, shown before you book. Changes to guests, date or menu are requested in the booking’s messages and only apply once both sides accept.

Keeping it on BissCAT

To keep payments protected, bookings and payments must stay on BissCAT. Contact details are hidden until a booking is confirmed, and requests to pay off-platform are removed.

Reviews

Only completed bookings can be reviewed, within 14 days. Reviews are published together so neither side sees the other’s first.
